At the end of the day, return to our cosy hotels to relax and unwind. Whispering Pine Lodge or the Black Sheep Hotels – Cabins
Begin your adventure with a two-night stay at our tranquil Highland lodge or in our rustic cabins on the banks of Loch Lochy. Set against a backdrop of steep, forested mountains and featuring its own private pebbled beach, the hotel offers a range of facilities including multiple dining options, a spa, gym, and outdoor sauna and hot tub.

Select from any of our two bespoke itineraries and indulge in a day filled with adventure.
- Begin the day with a short drive to one of Scotland’s best-known monuments, the Commando Memorial
- Visit the nearby Nevis Range Mountain Experience and take a gondola ride for breathtaking views.
- Enjoy a scenic drive through the Glencoe Valley, a glen of volcanic origins, en route to Oban.
- Explore the seaside town of Oban, also known as the ‘Gateway to the Isles,’ renowned for its seafood.
- Visit the famous Oban Distillery for a tour
- Return to the Whispering Pine Lodge.

- Start the day with a scenic drive along the ‘Road to the Isles,’ ending at Mallaig.
- Along the way, make a brief stop at the Church of St. Mary and St. Finnan, an iconic Gothic-style church completed in 1873, nestled in the picturesque and historically significant area of Glenfinnan.
- Take a short walk to capture the perfect photo op of the morning Jacobite steam train crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct—a must-do for every Potterhead fan! * TIP- To ensure you capture the train crossing the viaduct at 10:45 a.m., it's wise to arrive early, especially during the bustling summer months when the parking lot tends to fill up quickly. Arriving with ample time beforehand will allow you to secure a prime spot for taking photos.
- Proceed to Camusdarach beach, offering spectacular views and opportunities for swimming, making it an ideal way to spend morning. *TIP- If you're keen on it, the hotel can provide a convenient option for a beach picnic with their packed lunch service.
- Continue onward to the charming fishing port of Mallaig, where there is no shortage of fresh seafood dining options.
- On the return journey, detour via Fort William for some souvenir shopping, or simply head back to unwind at the Lodge.

DAY 3
- Enjoy a leisurely scenic drive to Newtonmore.
- Immerse yourself in history with a visit to the Highland Folk Museum and experience life in the Highlands from the 1700s to the 1950s.
- Venture a bit further to Pitlochry, a charming town in the county of Perthshire, where a plethora of sights and activities await.
- Explore Blair Castle, one of Scotland's most impressive castles, steeped in history and featuring over 30 rooms to explore.
- Stroll through the expansive and meticulously maintained Blair Gardens, which date back to the Victorian era.
- Indulge in a visit to the Blair Athol Distillery, nestled in the scenic town of Pitlochry.
- Take a short drive to The House of Bruar, often referred to as the ‘Harrods of the Highlands’. It's a Scottish shopping haven showcasing the finest names in Scottish art, clothing, and food produce.
- After a day of exploring castles, shopping, and history, return to the Manor for some well-deserved rest followed by dinner.

Rokeby Manor
Our second hotel in the Highlands is an early Victorian house (1840) in Invergarry. This charming manor maintains its country home ambiance and offers a cosy bar along with a rustic farmhouse restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine.
DAY 4
- Depart from Rokeby Manor and journey to Fort Augustus, a charming and historic hamlet nestled in scenic surroundings.
- Positioned midway along the Caledonian Canal, Fort Augustus is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities for walking and cycling along the Great Glen Way.
- Embark on a cruise across the legendary waters of Loch Ness, hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive Nessie.
- Enjoy a leisurely lunch in Fort Augustus before continuing your drive to the iconic Urquhart Castle, a captivating romantic ruin steeped in history.
- Dive deeper into the mysteries of Loch Ness at The Loch Ness Centre, uncovering the truth behind its renowned legend.
- Return to the manor for an evening of drinks and dinner, reflecting on the day's adventures amidst the Highland beauty.

DAY 5
- Indulge in a morning of outdoor adventures with Black Sheep Adventures, offering an array of thrilling activities such as boating, fishing, Highland Farm tours, or bespoke experiences like clay pigeon shooting or archery, catering to the most enthusiastic guests. *TIP- We have an experienced and jovial Ghillie that can offer expert guidiance if required!
- If time permits, venture off the beaten track on a scenic drive along a single path road to Kinlochourn, where the Atlantic coastline awaits with breathtaking views of mountains and wildlife, providing a complete escape
- Replenish your energy with a quick lunch at The Cluanie Inn, where you can also drop off your bags before continuing to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle for a tour of Scotland's most photographed castle, and quite possibly, one of the world's most renowned landmarks.
- Before returning to the Inn for drinks and dinner, make a brief stop in the picturesque old fishing village of Dornie, just a stone's throw away from the castle, where you can capture the vibrant charm of its colourful houses, adding a touch of local flavour to your unforgettable day of exploration.

The Cluanie Inn
is situated in the remote wilderness of the picturesque Glen Shiel on the way to the Isle of Skye. This mountain inn reflects much of the Highlands' unique rustic charm with character-filled rooms that are spacious and cozy. The inn serves hearty, scrumptious meals, and the warm atmosphere of the crackling log fires in the lobby makes you feel right at home.
DAY 6
- After a wholesome breakfast at the Inn, embark on a journey to the Isle of Skye, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and natural beauty. *TIP- We recommend that you get an early start to make the most out of your day.
- Portree: Wander around the town of Portree, taking in its vibrant atmosphere, colourful buildings, and bustling harbor. *TIP- The sourdough pizza at Caberfeidh Bar and Restaurant comes highly recommended by us!
- Old Man of Storr: Embark on a moderate hike to reach the Old Man of Storr, a striking rock formation set against the backdrop of scenic vistas with breathtaking views along the way.
- Quiraing: Explore the unique geological formations of the Quiraing, characterized by dramatic cliffs, pinnacles, and valleys providing ample opportunities for stunning photographs and peaceful moments of reflection.
- Fairy Pools: Venture to a series of enchanting pools and waterfalls nestled amidst the rugged terrain of the Black Cuillin mountains. The Fairy Pools are renowned for their magical beauty and make for a refreshing dip if you're feeling adventurous.
- Talisker Distillery Tour: Learn about the traditional whisky-making process during a guided tour, followed by a tasting session where you can sample whisky at one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, producer of some of the finest single malt whiskies in the world.

After a delightful breakfast at the Cluanie Inn, it's time to pack your bags and bid farewell to the Highlands, taking with you the cherished memories of your week-long adventure.

- This is a self-drive adventure and activities suggested in the itineraries are not included. We recommend that you make prior bookings to ensure availability.
- Bookings for use of any of the Hotels chargeable facilities must be made in advance to ensure availability.
- Please note that spa facilities are not applicable for pregnant women and guests below 18 years of age.
- Pet friendly (dogs only) rooms are subject to availability and are on a chargeable basis.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation by you 15 days before arrival – full refund.
- Cancellation by you 8 – 14 days before arrival – 50% refund.
- Cancellation by you 0 – 7 days before arrival – no refund.
- Amendments to bookings made for dates of stay / reduction in the number of people will be subject to availability of rooms and cancellation policy of the Hotel.
